Estrategia inicial para un desarrollo sostenible en la periferia de Acapulco de Juárez.

Abstract

This project aims to design a sustainable and inclusive rescue strategy for the riverbed that runs through the Sinaí colony in the peri-urban area located north of the municipality of Acapulco de Juárez and thereby contribute to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants, as well as show that these precarious areas are strategic places that must be considered in the design of sustainable cities. To achieve this, the specific objectives were set: to characterize the colony and its relationship with the Sinai channel, to prepare a diagnosis and planning of the territory around the channel and to carry out a rapid institutional evaluation. The methodology implemented was qualitative, based on the methodology of "Collaborative planning to manage water resources: methodological proposal based on the actor-network theory" (Becerril et al., 2020), which consists of five major phases: preparation or evaluation, pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, planning and validation, and implementation and monitoring. Different tools, techniques and instruments were used to collect information obtained during the different phases of the project. The characterization of the Sinai Colony and expansion was obtained as a product. The story that we tell (inhabitants) Who are we? And where are we going? Which allows to give identity to the territory, since it was developed through community participation, in order to serve as a tool and guide for some work or project. The collective organization allowed to carry out reforestation activities on the banks of the river, in order to contribute to a common good.
