This articles presents a proposal to analyze violence against women in politics in Mexico. It relies on the idea of the different faces of the parties (partisan, electoral, and legislative) within which different types of violence against women (psychological, physical, economic, sexual and symbolic) may take place. It is worth bearing in mind that, despite advances in pass ing and implementation of gender quota laws and parity, women suffer acts of violence that dwindle their performance.
