dc.description.abstract | The lncRNA HOTAIR regulates gene expression through DNA methylation. HOTAIR is overexpressed in cervical cancer and modulates migration, invasion, proliferation, and apoptosis among other cellular processes. The migration and cellular invasion events in tumoral cells are enhanced by changes in the expression profile of adhesion molecules, which promotes alterations in the interaction dynamics between tumoral cells-extracellular matrix (ECM) and tumoral cells-other cells. | |
