DM is one of the main causes of CKD globally; it is a risk factor associated with increased mortality. Worldwide, CKD occurs in 25-40% of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) and in the general population it occurs in 7-12%. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about chronic kidney disease in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus at UMF 26 in Acapulco, Guerrero.
